So, I took the plunge and finally started my first quilt. I’ve made great progress on it so far and hoping to complete it by March so I can use it a little before summer. I’ve always thought that it would be terribly difficult but it’s been so easy and fun! I found a wonderful tutorial through the purlbee blog (great resource for tons of crafty projects by the way). Now, I’m completely obsessed! Daydreaming of new patterns and colors all the time.
It’s been a jam packed January, full of family gatherings, yummy home cooked meals, and birthday celebrations.

Yikes! Has it really been four months since I last posted? Time has really gone by fast! Sadly, I don’t have a lot of exciting news to report about the last four months. I’ve been mainly focusing on family life and hanging out with my little cutie, Agatha. There’s been some sprinkle of sewing time for the shop but those have been few and far between.
I’m definitely hoping that I can get going again on the shop this year since Aggy is getting bigger and I’ve become more comfortable with having time away from her (I just want to snuggle her all the time!). I hope everyone is having a good year so far!

One month ago, on June 27th, our little miss Agatha finally arrived. She’s grown and changed so much during these short four weeks. I’m so excited to see her grow even more as time goes by. It’s really too bad that my maternity leave will end in September because all I want to do is spend time with her.

Sewing has been a bit slow going these days. I have a ton of pouches prepared and ready to sew up but just couldn’t get the energy to complete more than two over the weekend. Hopefully, I can get a few done each day this week and uploaded to the shop by Saturday. Also, Chris finally got around to helping me with designing a new labels. They turned out really nice!

First maternity dress attempt
I was feeling really uncomfortable lately in my clothes. After some online research I noticed a lot of ladies bought dresses from American Apparel instead buying maternity wear. Since AA dresses are a little pricey, I decided to just jump in and make myself a dress. It was finished in one afternoon and little big in the chest but I’m sure I’ll grow into it. Not perfect but totally comfortable.
